Mary Oliver, poet and mystic, tells us that “Every day I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight”.
This retreat invites us to remind ourselves that all of life can be our teacher if we choose to be open to everyday experiences. It is in our everyday that we realise more about who we truly are, discern how God is continually at work in our lives, and learn to more fully grow in embracing both the joys and sorrows that inevitably visit us. Acknowledging the divine at work in the ‘bits and pieces of everyday’ leads us to discover anew the Extraordinary in the Ordinary.

While living in her homeplace of Donegal, Dr. Gráinne Doherty works throughout Ireland in retreat-giving, pastoral ministry, adult faith formation, and facilitation. She is also a member of staff in the Centre for Mission and Ministries, Maynooth.
