Mount St. Anne's Retreat House is situated in Killenard, Portarlington, Co. Laois, Ireland and is set in delightful pastoral landscapes.  The main ministry of the house is retreats for young people and adults.  Approximately 4,500 young people and 6,000 adults come to the Centre each year.

Our vision and our energy come from Gospel values, in particular Luke 9:10-15 ….

' I have compassion on these people…
For they have nothing to eat …
Give them something to eat….'

We feel the 'multitudes' are coming here because they are 'hungry' in so many different ways.  We try to 'feed ' them the best we can.  We detect a great desire in all youth to be listened to, taken seriously, accepted, a great hunger for God and a yearning for reconciliation and healing.  There is so much stress, anxiety, peer pressure, personal and family expectations weighing them down.

Adults are looking for a more holistic approach to their faith and relationship with God.  An integrated approach is sought … where body, mind and spirit are all appreciated.
